At least the weather here is nice

I spent 5 weeks staring at these apartment walls and watching WAY too many crime dramas after my hysterectomy, so it was great to be able to go back to work and feel like I was actually accomplishing something. Yet, 2 weeks later, here I go again.... One of my objectives in writing this blog is to keep my brain semi-active. The doctor said 6-8 more weeks off work (which I really don't think I can handle). I see him next week, so maybe I can get that modified a little. Meanwhile, I will bore all my friends with the tiny details of my life. Ha ha.

Today Steve drove me to Riverside so the Surgery RN could remove my staples. After looking at my incision, she decided to remove only half and leave the rest for the doctor next week. At least it was a nice drive and I got out of the house for awhile.

Steve found out from some of his fellow classmates that they were offered jobs at a company that had said he didn't have enough experience. He's pretty upset, so he is down at the school now trying to find out what is going on. Unfortunately, he is not very aggressive and isn't likely to fight for his rights. Sigh!

But, my new motto is to remain optimistic even in the face of adversity. Wish me luck!
